Devil in disguise

You're the word I miss,
when I try to describe what I feel.

I know, bad zoom and angle, but that reveals the play of light I intended to capture.

Be Lief

Tonight I was talking with a friend and at a point I started thinking about something interesting. I already had this idea, I just never thought about as a belief. I can now correctly and completely define my belief. It's not simply a god or a kind of energy... or maybe yes. But that's not the point, it's much more simple. My belief is:

Not every happening has a cause.

Yeah, that's all. Maybe a lil bit more than that, but the same. So let's start with a simple system and go to complex ones. The most simple is about two undegradable particles, with the simplest form, globe. These particles are attracking each other, they got a starting speed, and they have perfectly flexible collision (they are standard particles). So two little molecules with a nonzero temperature. If we know their exact position and speed on a certain instant, we well know their speed and position in any instant, after and before this event.

In our world particles are undegradable after a certain point, so our world's functionality can be extended from the previous example. The only difference is, there aren't  just two, there is a very huge amount of particles. This way, if we know the position and speed of every particle on a certain time... and the same from the previous example.

In these examples, everything happened, had a cause, the previous state. So what am I believing after all? The existence of human soul. Human soul is not composed by material particles, so it can't be predicted. Not with a mathematical formula. Maybe with experience or by analysis of the average, but these wont tell a hundred percent truth, its only a speculation. This would be it, if there are things which happened without a way of explaining it, means there is something more than material, a human soul, a god, chance for an afterlife and so on. Without these I think our lives would be a waste of time.

Why only a belief? Simple, I can't prove it, and no one could before. At least I don't know about it.

Horn of Scope

I don't say I don't believe in supernatural phenomenons, these things are playing with our fear of not knowing, the incapability of explaining something, one of our senses howls in a nerve-wrecking way. Like a fatal error in our brain, desynchronization with input peripherals. I love that feeling, however you'll just lose it if you start chasing it. But it still remains the thought that you was a witness in something not many was before, and will be in the future.

But horoscope... Ok, let's just use a little math. The rules of statistics. If we simplify this system will call humanity, we can easily calculate the distribution of peoples between the 12 different zodiac signs (let's just talk about the most common horoscope). Supposed that every day the number of children born and amount of dieing people is equal each and every day (I mean equal between days). If we follow this idea we can tell that every twelfth human has the same sign, across the world. That means around one twelfth of  6.771 billion, that is 564 billion human being. Every sentence is written at least for that many people in a horoscope. A horoscope is good until let's say every tenth time tells the truth. Its still 56 billion people who needs to experience every single fact written down.

You probably will say that horoscope doesn't tells concrete facts of future, just some ideas on what you should expect. My answer: the most ambiguous the horoscope is the most loses it's audience, and horoscope, like many other crowd-manipulation tools are being kept alive by it's readers and listeners. So, let's take an example, if a horoscope tell you that you will go to vacation in this week, or you will get promotion (I haven't used "going to" by intention) than 56 billion people will go to vacation or will get promotion across the world, which means total chaos and bigger loss as a World War.

That's not all, let's take a little bit look into the lineage of this nonsense. Horoscope was first created by astrologist on their living-provider's request. Yeah, because big invents weren't made daily nor monthly, they needed some solid support, so they "invented the future". Nowadays is the same, the only difference is that those who pay to someone to write horoscope knows the way that it's created.

The only thing remains is taking another little problem in it's existence (not that again). Nowadays almost in every newspaper, website, TV channel, radio you'll find some horoscope. But there's no standard (like ISO) in getting information for a horoscope, it's period of availability and so on. Which means that the more, the worst, because the bigger is the possibility of telling different things. Yes, it can happen multiple different things on that certain period of time, but what happens if... We just talked about the wide border of horoscope, so it's not hard to contravene. One tells you'll argue with your boss, the other promises a progress to a good relation with him, or a worst example, according to one you'll have a good day, but another warns you about an upcoming shitty day.

If you still doubt these lines imagine yourself in a situation where somebody offers you money just for writing 2-3 lines of horoscope per sign. What will you do? Don't tell me you'll start learning the effects of the standing of different planets to different signs, then getting their position by watching the sky for long hours, searching the Internet, making long calculations? No, you'll just improvise something. And believe me, everybody does the same (or just copies from something, another horoscope, maybe written 10 years ago). And if you're interested in something somebody just invented, no, not invented, lied to you, then go on, read them and dream on. I'll just pass

Why not?

That's one of statistic's basic questions. Why is the air's temperature the same in the east and in the north corner of my room in the same time? Why not? Why disappeared the drip of water I left there yesterday? Why not? Why am I writing this? Why not?

You caught me, that makes no sense, writing blogs isn't part of statistics, this is about existence of an entity, and existence needs reason. Like water, which exists for supporting life, stars providing high spirit for a beautiful night. Even tho existence is not always reasoned. Like ties. Yeah, that's bullshit, completely useless. It's just a meaningless colorful shred, worn by mans in every endless painful workday, emerging with it's stifling presence and causing unbearable suffer in summer days. The only good thing about it is when you arrive at your home, and you can finally pull it down, you can feel refreshed, like heaven feels after purgatory. But that just don't gives it a reason of existence, does it?

So, here's the reason of this blogs existence, however I hate talking about formalities like this. In less then a month I'll have to face TOEFL, an English exam which gives many more opportunities to develop my future. It does sound good, but I can only imagine about it as a big wall in front of me with scrimp odds of crossing it. What? You want to help me? That's nice of you. I imagine that after reading this or any other following notes, you'll encounter numerous grammatical or composition mistakes, so why not leave a little comment describing it?

I would like to say "Thanks in advance" which is very common in a lot of languages known by me, but once I red that is impolite to do it, because you'll just obligate others to do it, leaving them without the freedom of choice. So, I won't thank you yet, but I'm going to do it if you give me a chance.

That's all for today. Unfortunately not every idea is mine from the above paragraphs, and that's not something I can change in the future posts, if there will be any, but I hope you won't feel offended by this.
